For when “starter kit” sounds far too modest.

This set includes the classic tools for traditional matcha preparation, paired with Hachi Matcha Platinum — our most refined Hachi blend.

Platinum comes from Uji, Kyoto and blends Asahi, Uji Hikari and Samidori. It is deep green, intensely savoury and layered with vegetal, forest-like notes. This is the matcha to choose when the tea itself is the main event.

Best for:
Traditional preparation, premium gifts, experienced tea drinkers and adventurous beginners who would rather skip straight to the good stuff.

How to prepare:
Sift ½–1 teaspoon of matcha into the bowl. Add 2–4 oz of water at approximately 70–80°C and whisk briskly for about 15 seconds until smooth and lightly frothy. Try it straight first. Platinum has plenty to say on its own.
