A simple way to start with matcha — and a slightly more old-school one at that.

This starter kit includes the essentials for making smooth matcha at home with an electric frother, plus your choice of 20g or 40g of Hachi Matcha Organic.

Our Organic Matcha comes from Uji, Kyoto and is grown using traditional organic methods, including reed-and-straw covering during the final shade-growing stage. The flavour is earthy, balanced and a little more rustic than our other Hachi grades — in a good way.

Best for:
New matcha drinkers who prefer organic tea, anyone curious about a more traditional flavour profile, and people who want an easy modern setup at home.

How to prepare:
Sift ½–1 teaspoon of matcha into a cup or bowl. Add 2–4 oz of water at approximately 70–80°C and froth for about 15 seconds until smooth. Enjoy straight, or add steamed milk for a latte.
