This starter kit includes the basics for making matcha at home with an electric frother, paired with Hachi Matcha Platinum — our most refined and complex Hachi blend.

Platinum comes from Uji, Kyoto and blends Asahi, Uji Hikari and Samidori. It is deep green, intensely savoury and layered with vegetal, forest-like notes. This is matcha to pay attention to.

Best for:
Adventurous beginners, experienced tea drinkers crossing over into matcha, premium gifts, and anyone who would rather begin with something memorable.

How to prepare:
Sift ½–1 teaspoon of matcha into a cup or bowl. Add 2–4 oz of water at approximately 70–80°C and froth for about 15 seconds until smooth. Platinum is best appreciated straight with water, but it also makes a seriously indulgent latte.
